As CEO and member of the board, Scott is responsible for leading the Calero organization into its next era of growth and innovation. A seasoned executive with over twenty years of experience in executive positions at telecom organizations, Scott brings a passion for how operations, sales, and technology can work together to deliver a truly exceptional customer experience. Scott most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Calero Software prior to the merger with MDSL. Prior to joining Calero, Scott led the technology and operations organizations as Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at FirstLight Fiber, a portfolio investment of Riverside Partners and Oak Hill Capital.
Eric Martorano

As President & CRO at Calero, Eric leads the overarching strategy and execution of all Go-To-Market functions. He plays a pivotal role in shaping the company’s future in close collaboration with the Executive Leadership Team and Board. With a relentless focus on sustainable growth, Eric is responsible for expanding Calero’s global market presence, enhancing customer and partner experiences, and aligning cross-functional teams around clear operational goals to drive long-term profitability and success.
With over 30 years of experience in global revenue leadership, Eric brings a proven track record of building high-performing teams and scaling businesses across the technology landscape. His leadership style blends innovation, strategic thinking, and a passion for customer and partner success, honed through executive roles at companies such as Microsoft, Nextiva, Intermedia, and Simplilearn. Eric holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Northridge.
Nicola Whiting

Nicola started with the company in 2002 as a key member of the Veropath organization, which was ultimately acquired by Calero in 2018. During these 22 years of service & dedication, Nicola has demonstrated a passion and commitment for the three critical ingredients of our success – the customer, our employees, and the technology. These 2+ decades of success have been achieved through Nicola’s hands-on problem-solving approach ~ in the trenches shoulder-to-shoulder with the rest of the team.
Darian Hong
Darian Hong
Darian Hong leads Calero’s financial, legal, and people functions, overseeing Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Risk Management, Legal, and Human Resources. Since joining the company, he has played a key role in scaling the organization, strengthening operational discipline, and aligning financial and talent strategies to drive growth.
Darian brings extensive leadership experience from organizations including Raintree Systems, Act!, WebPT, Velocify, and AT&T. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of California, Irvine.
Simon Mendoza
Simon Mendoza
Simon joined Calero in 2003 as part of the Development Team after graduating from the University of Cambridge with an MA in Computer Science. He drove the development of a number of key technologies, including Calero’s e-billing handler architecture, which led to the rapid growth of Calero’s TEM offering. He now has responsibility for aligning the company’s IT policy with its overall business direction.
