It’s a wrap (and a record): Calero World Online 2017

november 16, 2017, Communications Lifecycle Management

By Scott Davis

Calero World Online 2017 has officially come to an end. What an exciting time it’s been to partner with innovative companies and speakers to share valuable insights and meaningful information. Thank you to all guest presenters and to everyone around the globe who joined us over the past few weeks. Without you, this event would not be possible.  I’m thrilled to say that we had our largest audience in attendance yet– and look forward to setting a new record next year!

As we close the doors on 2017, I thought it would be fun to highlight a few of our favorite sessions from industry analysts and organizations like Gartner and TEMIA.  If you didn’t get a chance to attend all of them, I encourage to check them out on demand when you have a chance.

Gartner Keynote Session

Kicking off the event was Keynote speaker, Lisa Unden-Farboud, Research Director for Gartner.  Lisa shared her insights around current and emerging trends in the communications and IT arena, the challenges they present and how Telecom Expense Management (TEM) fits into the bigger picture. Enterprise IT organizations are looking to TEM vendors for help in addressing the challenges around the shift to Op-Ex business models, increased use of bandwidth and mobile data usage, digitalization and IoT.  Many TEM vendors have responded by adding more capabilities to their platforms like integration with ITSM, ITFM and EMM providers.

TEMIA: Maximizing Your Strategic Value Impact with ICT Inventory Management

Joe Basili, Director of TEMIA, co-hosted a session with Calero’s Larry Foster that looked at trends impacting IT budget and ways organizations are addressing the challenges created by the growth of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) services.

Are You Data Rich, but Insight Poor? Turn Enterprise Data into Information You Can Use

Data is meaningless unless you can make sense of it.  Only when this data is processed, organized or presented in a meaningful way does the data become informational. Jay Schaefer, a Calero Technical Solutions Consultant, demonstrated the power of our Calero VeraSMART tools, which can help enterprises unlock critical communications data residing in their organizations. View the recording here.

Here’s to you

Again, thank you for another great year. We hope you feel informed and more inspired than ever to Achieve More with your Calero solution. In case you missed any sessions, you can watch them at your own leisure on demand.

Calero World Online 2018 will be here before we know it. Sign up to receive notifications when registration is available. We look forward to seeing you next year!
