TEMIA: Telecommunications Is Strategic
Executive Sponsors Secure Competitive Advantage for Enterprises
Telecommunication influences virtually every industry sector within modern economies. As time goes on, executives are presented with a growing array of ways in which communications can be leveraged to gain competitive advantage. Senior level executives do not need to be involved in all aspects of implementing telecommunications infrastructure, with the best strategies often involving multiple senior level executives. In a recent white paper, the Telecom Expense Management Industry Association (TEMIA) identifies the roles that executives can play and the value of these roles to telecommunications management programs. This paper is written for senior executives, the managers that work for them, and other stakeholders who are involved with telecom.
On average, enterprises spend between 1% and 2% of all corporate revenue on telecom services.
