Company is one of 14 providers recognized for managed mobility services in the global market
Gartner has positioned Calero in its April 2020 Magic Quadrant for Managed Mobility Services, Global. Vendors included in the report have at least 1.15 million smart mobile devices under management and support at least 25% of their installed base outside their home region by the end of October 2019. After the close of the evaluation period for this research, the private equity (PE) firms backing Calero and TEM-provider MDSL announced plans to merge the two. The PE firms will provide additional investments into the recapitalized company, known in the interim as Calero, and will continue operating from current facilities globally.

According to Gartner, “Managed mobility services (MMSs) comprise the vendor-provided IT and business process services required to plan, procure, provision, activate, manage, secure and support mobile devices, mobile network services, related mobile management systems and mobile applications. Gartner’s coverage of MMSs focuses on a provider’s assumption of day-to-day IT management administration and support routines for mobile devices. MMSs also include business process services (such as expense management, asset management and logistics, including forward and return logistics and recycling, ordering and provisioning) as well as help desk services.”

The Calero solution combines the disciplines of managed mobility services and expense management into a single software platform – procurement, device logistics, expense and asset management, UEM integration and help desk. The open platform integrates with ITSM, HRIS, and other financial management solutions to automate manual processes in managing an enterprise mobility environment.
